Good news for all of us Denyse Schmidt fans. Denyse has designed some fabric just for us…and well, maybe some other people too. She has a new line of fabric coming out this spring…and she let me post a sneak peak on QuiltersBuzz.com. The line is called “Flea Market Fancy” and is being distributed by Free Spirit Fabric Company. This fabric line “speaks to me” –in it’s bold vintage flavor. This line will be introduced to “the rest of the quilting world” at International Quilt Market that will be held in May. Reading blogs written by her supporters and seeing their “Denyse Schmidt” projects inspire Denyse. In a recent email to me she said, “…had a chance to check out your site. It's great, congrats! Thanks so much for the post about my book, and the MEHC (Mary Engelbreit Home Companion) mag. article. I hadn't seen those particular crafty blog posts you mentioned, I love following them. I'm so fascinated with the way the internet has become an international sewing circle. The quality and aesthetic of them is so great too, it's very inspiring!”
Well, we think you are inspiring Denyse! And, I would like to place an order right now for one bolt of each fabric...I can't stop dreaming about the possiblities.

Awesome, thanks Gina. If I remember correctly, Free Spirit also distribute Amy Butler fabrics too? Another of my to-die-for favourite designers.
