What was the biggest “BUZZ” about …at the Road to California Quilt Show? Well, from what I could see it was the new fabric line called "Day Z" from Holly Holderman and
Lakehouse Dry Goods. The fabric is bright and fun---purple, pinks, oranges and greens with small, medium and giant Gerber daisies, stripes and polka dots. The look is fresh, fun and appealing.
Everyone wanted it and most were disappointed when the vendors who were lucky enough to have it ran out of supplies.
Lakehouse not only produced a great fabric line, they also created an extensive selection of pattern support. Some of the patterns include “Whoopsy Daisy”, Lazy Daisy Quilt”, Noodle Nine-Patch”, and “Blooming Beauty Quilt”. In addition, they have patterns to make purses, totes and decorative pieces.
The quilts shown here are made out of the line. Independent quilt shop, Cozy Cottage Fabrics, created an original design called “Cozy’s Lazy DayZ” quilt is shown above. And below is fabric designer’s Holly Holderman daisy quilt called “Noodle Nine Patch”.
Check it out at your favorite quilt shop. Bolts should be arriving in the next few weeks.
