Well, for starters Amy has her first sewing book coming out.
"In Stitches" Book
Amy says, “I’m super excited about my first sewing book called “In Stitches” with Chronicle Books. “In Stitches” includes 24 simple projects for styling every part of your life. The book includes home projects and personal style projects, including some of my favorite new bag designs. “In Stitches" will be available in quilting and major book stores by late August or early September. Retail price will be $24.95. The book will also be available on Amy's website in August or September.
But wait…there is more!
Amy Butler Sew It Kit
“I have a follow up product to my sewing book called “Amy Butler’s Sew It Kit”, also with Chronicle Books. The kit includes 10 projects from the book and 5 brand new projects including fabric and supplies to make one of the new projects. The kit will launch Spring 2007.
Free Quilt Pattern
And coming real soon... in conjunction to her new fabric line release....there will be a “freebie” quilt pattern available on her website to all as a free download. Amy has designed the quilt pattern and is just waiting for Rowan/Westminster to get her some pieces of her own fabric line to make the sample! (See a fabric preview in my previous posts.)
“It should be here is the next 2 weeks, (fingers crossed)”, says Amy.
Check Amy’s website for more images and updated information on these products and her lines of fabric, as well as the free quilt pattern.
Also launching in Spring 2007...a stationery line...
"The stationery line will include a boxed stationery set, boxed note cards and a journal. The prints are a floral inspired collection from some of my past fabric lines--re-invisioned and presented in fresh new way," says Amy. More info to come...check on her website.
Whew! That is a bunch of great Amy Butler stuff to look forward too!
Thanks, Amy, for sharing with us first.
And thanks for being a guest blogger on Quilters Buzz for the last few days.
We look forward buying up your fabric and creating beautiful things.
I will be meeting with Amy in person at Quilt Market and will be posting more photos of the "goods" and an interview with her in late May.
(Photos thanks to the guy Amy Butler hangs out with.)

Wow -- we LOVE Amy's fabrics! I'm dying to know how she skirts around the copyright laws in copying vintage fabrics. I've seen a couple of the original fabrics she got her designs from on eBay and would like to know how she's able to claim rights -- it doesn't appear that she's altered the designs. Does she just cross her fingers? Wondering if you could ask her about that - I'm a big fans - I'm looking forward to sewing with her new line!

Olivia, I think Amy is very aware of copyright laws...see her website for info on them...And I agree her fabrics are wonderful.
