I met with Janet from “BlockButler” while at quilt market and she showed me a great product—a unique design wall system called the BlockButler. It is sticky material that sticks to your wall—no pins or fasteners needed to hold it in place—and your fabric sticks to the front side and allows you to design a way!
And it is repositionable to allow you to use it on your doors, windows and any other surface. This is “A Unique Design Wall System for Quilters and Crafters”. This is NOT just another flannel design wall. You must feel it to believe it! And I did. It feels sort of sticky, but it is actually hard to describe…but I "test drove" it and it works great.
It comes in three sizes 3’ x 3’, 4’ x 6’ and 6’ x 6’. And sells for around $24, $42, and $57 respectively.

And people are not just using it for quilt designing…check out their website and click under “clever ideas” and see how others are using the BlockButler.
Some other uses include: portable story boards for business presentations, teaching and kids story time…it works great for scrap booking and beading. And it can be installed in sections or as a whole. If it gets dirty --it is even hand washable and will last for years.
“It is the perfect solution to taking projects to classes, retreats and on the road”, states the information on their sample.
I had to put one on order because they sold out before I could get one!
It is worth checking out. (It is the only kind of "butler" I will ever have!)
