CROC Shoes--Creating Comfort for Consumers...New "Mary Jane" Style Introduced This Week at Fashion Footwear Association of New York

It a Croc!

Here a CROC there a CROC everywhere I see CROCS! And there was plenty of them seen on the feet of quilt shop owners at Quilt Market. (It was all about comfort while shopping for fabric!)
And in case you do not know what I am talking about…CROCS are shoes. As a matter of fact they are a “new breed” of comfort shoe, according to the Croc website.
Just few years ago, three Colorado guys decided to market a shoe intended as a boating/outdoor shoe because of its slip-resistant, non-marking sole. Soon Crocs became a hit and universally accepted as an all-purpose shoe. Their first model was the “Beach” and they have been going strong ever since.
I tried them on. Test-drove them around the shoe store, because I had to see what all the “hoopla” was about. And they are comfy. They are made out of a foamy-type material and are super lightweight. The salesman said with some wearing they actually comform to your foot. Croc’s website actually states “All CROCS shoes feature CROCS propriety closed cell resin, “Croslite”, which warms and softens with body heat and molds to the user’s feet.”
(At first, I did not buy them because I thought my foot would get sweaty, but I have since talked with many CROC wearers who say it is not so.)
And they come in a vast array of color (20 or more) and styles. And this week at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York the company introduced a new “Mary Jane” model to its line of shoes.
CROCS are available in more than 7,300 North American retail locations.
I went back to get a pair at my favorite shoe shop and they were sold out. I have an order in for a red pair. And the price is great with most styles selling in the $25 to 35 range.
Are you a CROC lover and wearer? Tell me more…. what do you think?

I love, love, love (did I say love)my crocs! I was afraid of the look, and the style, but after one wearing on a long day in New York, I am never seen without them. I have told everyone about them. Your feet do not sweat, and they are like walking on marshmellows. I broke a bone in my foot and my foot has not hurt since wearing these. I only wish I would have bought orange as well as my navy.
BE WARNED--do not by the knock offs. My friend did and they are not the same material at all. I tried the knock offs at Target and they were hard. Spend the extra cash on crocs!

I LOVE Crocs!!! I wear them all the time, summer and winter. I have several pairs. I have the "real" and the knock-offs. I'm even thinking about painting an old pair. Maybe with zebra strips or polka-dots. Maybe make a Cros quilt.

Crocs fill the bill. I have several pairs of the clog Crocs but they're a bit wide in the heel and clunky for moving safely and easily around a sailboat. The Mary Janes are perfect

Does anyone have a pattern to make new liners for my Croc Mammoths? I called Crocs and they do not sell replacement liners - has anyone tried to make replacement liners?

I wear some similar. I tried crocs, but they weren't comfortable enough for my terrible feet. I wear Nothinz. I LOVE them! Wear them all the time. I had heel spurs and these were the only shoes that got rid of them. One of our local podiatrist here said that they are just as good as expensive arch supports. They may not be the prettiest things, but i'll sacrifice fashion over comfort anyday.

I have not tried to make replacement liners, but my friend bought me some liners at TJ's. They are not made by Crocs but are a reasonable facimile. If I wanted to make my own I would just take apart the liners I have and use them as a pattern.

They are already patented! Have you seen the new inserts that replace socks with Crocs? They are called tabajacks and they have a botton right in the front that attaches to your Croc so that you can still slide your foot in and out with ease. they come in all different prints to match your personality. They are made of soft fleece to keep your feet warm and comfy! www.tabajacks.com
