A cool gadget I picked up while at Quilt Market, was a Cutting Mat Cleaner. This little rubbery thingy prolongs the life of your cutting mat by removing lint and fibers from batting, flannel, fleece and other soft materials.








                                                                                                                                                                              

At our quilting studio we had been cutting a “minkee-type” fabric and had tiny little
fuzz ball caught in the cutting lines and crevasses on our cutting mat.

I put the tool to the test and it cleaned off the fuzz balls in a breeze, getting out all of those imbedded fibers and grime from my mat.

Run it under cold water to clean. And the price is right…retailing for around $6. This mat cleaner comes from the company “Designs to Share with You”. Check out their site for more details on this product and their many quilt pattern designs.
