If you have “opened up a can of worms” once before, now you can do it again!
Because quilter, teacher and quilt retreat host, Debbie Caffrey, now has opened “Another Can of Worms”! In case, you are confused at this point, let me explain!
A “worm” is a 2 ½” strip of fabric. And Debbie is famous for her first worm book, “Open a Can of Worms”
(which has been out for several years and still going strong) and now she has a new book-- “ Another Can of Worms”. In both books, she shows you how to use the “worm” to create fabulous quilts.
Her new book, the long-awaited sequel, has 80 pages in full color and showcases 16 new quilts all made with 2 ½” worms! Many of the patterns introduce new ways to quilt with worms.
I have met with Debbie a few times at Quilt Market, Road Quilt to California Show and have taken one of her “worms” classes. I am always amazed at what you can create using the worm! Debbie also gives tips for speed cutting and sewing the worms.
And once you have seen the number of quilts that can be generated from 2 ½” strips of fabric—you will agree she has opened “another can of worms.” This new book, “Open Another Can of Worms”, sells for about $24.
But wait, it is not all about the worm! Debbie is also famous for her “mystery” quilt classes and has over 48 different mystery patterns on her website.

Debbie has designed and published mystery patterns since 1994. They have appeared in many forms such as magazine series, patterns for use by teachers, groups, and guilds for classes and retreats, also known as Mystery Patterns for Classes.
Most of the mystery patterns require basic rotary cutting and machine piecing skills. Techniques are diverse, interesting, simple, and precise. While some techniques are more advanced than others, no pattern contains curved seams, Y-seams, appliqué, or similar challenges, states Debbie’s website.
There is even more… Debbie also has provides Free Quilting Resources on her website which includes: tips, techniques, free patterns and mysteries, quilting links, and teaching tips and more.

I did not know that about worms! I learn something new every day, esp on your blog, which I've been enjoying immensely for the past couple weeks.
I wonder if you're able to answer a quick fabric question for me, albeit not about quilting. I bought an old bedspread today and I'm wondering if there's a name for this type of bedspread.
I've got a photo on my blog...

Thanks for your consideration, and for all the wonderful work you do!

I'm looking for an out-of-print book "The Road To California" there is a table runner pattern in it I would like. How can I get the pattern for the table runner even though the book is out of print?
