I think that at one time or another, us crafty people, have dreamed of having a designated space to work in—a studio (or a corner or a closet) to call our own.
For years, I crafted and quilted on my kitchen table where many ‘o time my green cutting mat doubled as the placemat for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunch…I have taken my mat to a quilting class and had to quickly give it a scrub down before any of my other far-better organized classmates saw my “sticky” mess and raised an eyebrow in disgust.
My sewing machine often got slid to the end of the kitchen table so we could have dinner (probably “P.B.and J.,” again, because I was too absorbed in my work to think of making dinner), then my machine got ignored for days and days…only to be re-discovered when we had company for dinner and I had to clean!
Anyway, “elisalou” pointed out on her site a dream studio-- that, I am thinking, we would all be pretty happy working in. It is “The Posie Studio” of Alicia Paulson. Check out these photos here and many beautiful others on flickr.com.
Yup, it is cool. I agree with elisalou—it is dream and it is wonderful!
Hey Alicia, can I come over and play with you?
