Australian Designers Create Fabric for FreeSpirit Fabrics --See a Sneak Peak of "Prints Charming" New Fabric Line...Plus They Are Guest Writing Today on QuiltersBuzz
prints charming logo.gifSay Hi! to Kirsten and Cath from Australia…tprints chariming girls.jpghis dynamic duo make up the design team for “Prints Charming”… (I love their name.) And they are getting noticed in the U.S!

FreeSpirit Fabrics just picked them up as designers and will be producing a line of fabrics for them…the line will be introduced (to the rest of the quilting world) in October at Quilt Market.

But, of course we get a sneak peak of some of  the line here at QuiltersBuzz.com…prints charming red.jpg

And Cath and Kirsten are guest writing today! Here is what they have to say:

Getting to know Prints Charming!

“Who is this Prints Charming, where can we find him and when?

There’s no him, its Cath and Kirsten from Sydney, Australia and we are about to release our first range with FreeSpirit. Here’s a sneak peak!

It’s a fresh look, using larger than average designs that we feel work well cut large or small! Fun bold colours on a crisp white base that we have become well known for, and smooth organic shapes that are wonderful to hand quilt around.

The base cloth for the FreeSpirit range is just beautiful and will inspire you to put your rotary cutters down, get your scissors out of the drawer and make some clothing! And then use the scraps for well…back to the patching.prints charming butterflies.jpg

The range is being released in October at Quilt market and we are excited about being able to visit the market to be at the Prints’s launch! We may get to meet a few of you. Keep in touch with the FreeSpirit website and the Prints Charming website."

Best wishes
Kirsten and Cath

Thanks girls.  I personally am looking forward to seeing the line and you guys in person in Houston!

(Photos and graphics were sent overseas via the internet by Prints Charming.)

Thanks, Gina, for introducing me to these designers. I'll definitely be ordering their fabric. I'll race you to the Free Spirit booth!

Hi,
I am a huge fan of the Animal Planet TV show "Meerkat Manor." I would love to make a quilt with meerkats, but cannot locate ANY Meerkat fabric at all. Do you know of any, or can anyone design some?

Thanks,
Bernadette
