I had another great discovery while checking out blogs today…I found another artist/crafter/creator/ knitter/needle artist that I love--Kristin Nicholas.

I fell in love with a photo of stitchery pillows posted on her website. They are lively, bright, funky and fun. And, come to find out, they are available as complete kits! All you need to supply is the stuffing and embroidery hoop. Oh yeah, and the kits are only about $25. Awesome, because you can begin stitching the minute you receive the package! Click here to order.
So of course, I had to know more about her and her stuff so I could tell you…
She is an author, co-author or illustrator (I guess you could call that SUPER talented) of several books that I already own…Colorful Stitchery (October 2005), Kids Embroidery, Knitting Today's Classics, and Knitting the New Classics. She is the illustrator and co-author of Knitting for Baby with Melanie Falick, and illustrator of Kids Knitting, also by Melanie Falick.
According to Kristin’s website, she is a decorative artist, knitwear designer, and author who resides in the hills of western Massachusetts.
Her mediums of self-expression are all those creative endeavors related to the decorative arts - stitchery, knitting, home furnishings, painting, interior design, ceramics, and gardening. (Again—that is SUPER, SUPER talented!)
And she lives on a farm with a husband, daughter, pigs, dogs, sheep and chickens! She could become my new best friend...except for the chickens.
