Quilters Buzz Hits the 100,000 Mark! And Threaded Pear Studio Has Been Going Strong From the Get Go!

100,000!100,00.jpg I had an exciting day this week when traffic on the Quilter’s Buzz hit 100,000 page views! Thanks to all you loyal readers in the United States, but also from many other readers in other countries including Australia, Portugal, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Spain, Brazil just to name a few…

It is fun to imagine all of you rotary cutting away…slicing and dicing up fabulous fabric to create quilting masterpieces all over the world.

If you have a second, write a comment and tell me where you are when you are sitting at your sewing machine…Are you: “Sewing in Switzerland”, “Cutting in Canada”, “Piecing in Pittsburg” or “Ironing in Indiana? QuiltersBuzz is dying to know! pear.jpg

Other news…Threaded Pear Studio update:

Some of you have asked for periodic updates of the happenings at our long-arm quilting studio…my business partner, Stephanie and I opened a quilting studio in March…and we have been madly quilting away on our “Statler Stitcher-Gammill” long-arm machine ever since…so far we have quilted about 200 quilts and still have about 50 in line to do. We are having fun--being creative and having our own little space to do it all in. Oh,yeah… so far we are paying the bills too! No pay checks have been issued yet, but….maybe someday.

We are also designing original quilt patterns and are “shopping” for a publisher to publish them.

Our logo is nearly finished and we are hoping to soon launch our website which will include information on all of our long-arm services as well as a place to buy select quilting kits, goodies and some of our favorite quilting stuff.

Thanks for listening!

Hi, I'm quilting new designs in Norway! I read your blog often,- thanks for the inspiration and information! A new Northern Quilts shop is opening in september, and also we have a new blog http://northernquilts.blogspot.no , where we'll be showing new designs, ideas and products, the shop and the customers creations! I wish your business and you blog all the best; please continue to write & smile ;-) ! hugs; Wenche in Norway

Thank Norway friend for reading...good luck with your shop and blog!

Hi Gina, congratulations on hitting the 100,000 mark. I enjoy reading your site and seeing all the great things you find.
Aren't those shredder scissors just about the scariest looking things. I can hear my carpel tunnel screaming now. I was surprised to read they were so cheap though.
Wishing you the best with your Threaded Pear business. I hope to be one of the first customers when your site goes live. I have more quilts that need quilting than I can ever hope to complete so outsourcing is starting to look better and better.

Wow! a hundred grand!
I'm sewing (and sweltering) in St. Louis, Missouri.

Hey Pickleweed thanks for being such a dedicated reader!

And

"Sewing in Saint Louis"--you go girl--Sweltering, sweating, and sewing--its gotta be swell!

Congratulations Gina! I'm beginning to realize it takes a lot of energy to blog for the duration, 100,000 views is an achievement to be proud of. I really like your logo for the Threaded Pear. Color, font, mood, it's all just perfect. Good luck with getting your patterns published.

congrats on reaching 100,000!
love your blog and all the great info you come up with! You know I think you are amazingly talented!

Today is my first visit to this blog site, read about it in the great new magazine "Quilter's Home". I have been quilting for 11 years and have learned all of my quilting knowledge through reading quilt books and magazines. I'm also a faithful watcher of Alex Andersen and Elenor Burns. This year I purchased EQ5 and am having fun learning the software and it is so much fun to design a quilt and see what it will look like finished...so exciting. I'm am a small town girl (okay, I'm forty) but love the bright colors as does my 11 year old daughter, Rachel. Quilting away, Ovid, Michigan. Renee Showers

Thanks for reading Renee. Quilt on! P.S. Forty aint so bad!
