My sister, Leslie, gave me the heads up about an awesome quilting event happening this weekend on, September 9th, near St Louis. Mo.
The event is “like no other” according to the website of “Quilts on Main”…which is a quilt show on the Historic Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri.
What is Quilts on Main?
Main Street is the setting for a unique art show—hundreds of colorful quilts displayed on the facades of vintage buildings. Whether you are an art lover or quilter, “Quilts on Historic Main” is a thrilling experience.
As you stroll along 14 blocks, you will be impressed by the amazing diversity of pattern and color. Set amidst the quilt displays you’ll find quilt guild demonstrations and quilt raffles. There’s also a featured artists Patria Schindler and Ann Poore, award winning and professional quilt artists,"
according to the site.
A must see event if you are in the area!

I believe it is just Saturday, September 9 (with a rain date on September 10). I have attended it in the past--one year leisurely strolling Main Street and another year doing the fast "drive by" because of an impending soccer game! I once had a quilt displayed, "ABC Missouri", with blocks designed by 4th graders and stitched by their mothers and grandmothers. St. Charles is a pre-1800 settlement...Lewis and Clark left from there way back when. Worth the time if you are in the area.
