My friend Kim, a quilter, knitter and crocheter, discovered Bella Dia's website and this crochet project and tutorial. Here is Kim to share:
"A few weeks ago while surfing my favorite blogs, I saw this wonderful afghan on Bella Dia. There was a great step by step tutorial on crocheting with clear photos...I thought it would be fun to make for a store sample for the shop I work at, Cozy Cottage Fabrics and Yarn.
Anyway, I decided to crochet it with the Cascade Superwash because my kids love to drag blankets everywhere and my kitties love to snuggle... so, it HAD to be washable! I love Cascade's washable wool yarn because it stays soft since it is wool and doesn't have that scratchy acrylic feel.
I measured across the end of my bed and decided to chain approx. 250 stitches to start.![]()
I chose 10 of my favorite colors and I am using a size H crochet hook.
Here is my progress so far! I have been working on it while at my daughters softball games and everyone at the fields love the bright colors. It is an easy stitch, the hardest part is deciding which color to choose next, so I try not to THINK about it to much and just go!
I still have a way to go till finished...but it is fun and easy.
Happy hooking!

I love this afghan pattern. I have passed this on to 5 or 6 people. Thanks. (It is a nice change of pace from the zigzag pattern I've been using!)
