Each of my kids learned to read with “Dick and Jane”, from a dog-eared edition that had long been stamped “Discarded”. My father-in-law, a former teacher and reading specialist, rescued the books from the garbage at his school and they were handed down to our family. We have read and re-read them a hundred times.

So I have a warm place in my heart for “Dick and Jane”.

And they back! Michael Miller Fabrics has reproduced the illustrations from the books into a fabric line.

I think the response from quilt shop owners was great. There was a bit of a “buzz” going through the aisles at the convention center.
