We are getting ready to quilt a quilt made by Jen from Purl and Purl Patchwork…and I decided I had better see what is new on their blog, the Purl Bee. This blog is full of great gift and project ideas and tutorials—with fabulous photo stylings…I need to check back more often!![]()
I discovered their wonderful
See the winter wonderland in their store window!
Here is what they say at Purl:
“We were inspired to make a whole forest of them for our holiday window at Purl Patchwork!
We took Stephanie's template to our neighborhood copy shop and enlarged it, stretched it and shrunk it to come up with all of these different sizes. We embellished some of the trees with a zigzag stitch and others with French knots or strips of hot pink fabric.
We're not the only one's who've been inspired by this charming pattern, you can see and share photos of lots of Soft Trees at the special Flickr group Stephanie created.![]()
Check out Purl's other tutorials on knitting, crocheting, sewing and patchwork and well as great gift and project ideas for your crafty friends.

How cute are these trees?? I had already put the decorative trees I have in one grouping and felt I needed others. This pattern is the answer! And I love the other materials people used. Your blog always sparks my creativity! Thanks Gina!
