My Grandma Faye made me one 40 years ago...I still have it-one leg has been reattached several times...but it still looks great.
Stephanie and I made new versions (see photo) and taught the sock monkey class at our studio. Our students loved making them and most ended up making more than one. They really are quite easy to make and stuff!
And I recently saw this tutorial posted on WhipUp via Super Sock Monkey.![]()
I thought I would share this sock monkey making tutorial with you.
And if you are a sock monkey fan...do not forget to check out Moda's sock monkey fabric, "Funky Monkey", has been a hit (produced in both flannel and flat fabric) and has made it through a couple of fabric seasons--and it is still around. We have quilted some darling baby quilts made with this fabric.
