Ok, I am back. I know it has been a while…sorry. The crazy daze of getting ready for Quilt Market (being held in ![]()
Here are just a few things that Stephanie and I and our gracious crew of volunteer sewers, un-pickers, cutters and computer wizards at the Threaded Pear Studio have been madly working on. We have a pattern series called "Afternoon Delights" -- 15 quilt patterns of quilts you can make in an afternoon or two! And four apron patterns, designed by Jan Lutz, are coming your way.![]()
Our website is up (sort of) at www.threadedpear.com but, only a few things are loaded.
Here is just a taste of what we have been working on….finishing up quilts, making brochures, stickers, labels, displays, business cards, give-a-ways, manipulating photos, and writing patterns! Whew.
We are rookies! But we are looking forward to setting up a booth at Quilt Market next week to sell our wares to a bunch of quilt shop owners from around the world. ![]()
For all of those attending Quilt Market please seek us out in booth 2838. And you can come and listen to my 15-minute speech about blogging at the School House Lecture on Thursday.![]()
For my friends attending or vending at Quilt Market...Are you still getting ready for the event?…please come clean with us and tell us what YOU still have left to do. Please make a comment…I will be up all night for the next few nights and I need company at
P.S. In the next day or two, look for a sneak peak of a fabulous new line of fabric from Lakehouse DryGoods and some guest blogging by Holly Holderman.
(Photos include quilts "Madeline" and "Modern Day Diamonds", and two that we keep changing the name so, I forget what we call them. The apron pattern is "Polka Dot Pantry". The good photos of the quilts were taken by Gregory Case. And the aprons by Stephanie Brady. The sideways photos of the pink one and the wobbly one below were taken by me.)

Hi! Still up? I'm looking forward to seeing you at market. As Elizabeth's Sidekick my job is to have my car ready at the appointed time.. not too hard of work for me. I'm excited about seeing new stuff, and finding lots to blog about!!! Good luck getting ready and with your booth! See you there.

Gina, do you know what time your Schoolhouse is? I fly in Thursday morning and would like to attend if I can.

I'm up! Have been since 3:30 am central time! Still left on my to do list - pack up the trailer, sew sleeves on the back of the quilts, assemble 1,000 catalogs, run the sewing machine to the quilt shop for a "check up" and the list goes on.... Looking forward to market - not looking forward to the 20+ hour drive to SLC from Joliet, IL! Wish me luck!

Well, Hmmm... What do I have left to do before Market?! That's a totally loaded question. It feels like just about everything! Two quilts to finish binding, alterations to drapes, packing and getting my order forms printed - plus a few dozen more things. *SHWEW* I'll be taking full advantage of the two-suitcase check-in on the flight there!

Hey, Gina... I've been reading your blog for quite awhile, but it's my first time writing. Your blog is great. I love your energy and all the INFO on quilting! Just wanted to say "hi" and good luck at Market! Hope to see you there some day. :)

Cute aprons!!! I'm too scared to think about starting to make clothes. Quilting is so addicting that I think I'd better not make clothes.
