Hello! Well, we made it back from Quilt Market with “Big-O” smiles on our faces. Our Threaded Pear Studio made a big hit!
We sold a bunch of our apron and quilt patterns and connected with the major national distributors to carry our line.
Several magazines contacted us as well to do some designing, we were approached several times about creating a fabric line and our booth was “in the running” to receive an award. (We did not have a floor or carpet and got booted out of the competition! —we were rookies what can I say!)
Quilter’s Buzz made a bit of a splash as well. I was asked to present a 15-minute talk about blogging and even though I was super nervous, I think I inspired a few to start a blog.![]()
FreeSpirit Fabrics sponsored my talk, and some of their designers; Anna Maria, Heather, Erin and Jennifer, all graciously became “visual aids” during my presentation. I was also invited to a dinner sponsored by Holly at Lakehouse DryGoods and was able to participate in a discussion session about the quilting business—that was all very informative.![]()
It was fantastic to meet some of you readers in person and to connect with you. The show was very inspiring and I can’t wait to upload my photos and start telling you all about it!

Hi Gina and Stephanie,
Your booth was wonderful! After seeing your wonderful quilt patterns I wished I had you guys design my quilt though the quilting Stephanie did was fantastic. Your apron patterns are adorable as well. It was lovely to meet you both, I've been following Quilters Buzz for a long time and love your style. I can't to wait to read more of the low down and see pics from market. Congrats on all your new endeavors!

I am so excited for you guys! Kim told us all about how successful it was. I can always say I knew you when! We need a project night soon, maybe to make aprons with Chocolate Lollipop or Freshcut?

Your booth was indeed wonderful. I must admit though, that it was difficult to see because it was always full of people!! Definitely the place to be!

What is wrong with the floor they provide? Are they saying what they provide isn't good enough? Bah humbug!

We actually loved the beautifully smooth concrete flooring provided by the convention center...it fit our "fresh farm look" of our booth...oh well, next time we'll take a rag rug!
