I just heard that fabric designer and artist Laurel Burch passed away earlier this week following a long illness. ![]()
Her unique look of bright and colorufl images of cats, birds dogs, elelphants and the like have been reproduced in quilting fabrics, paintings, T-shirts, scarves, ceramics, fabrics, tote bags and cloisonne jewelry. Her work continues to be sold throughout the world.
Say a prayer for her family.

I read that she was battling illness a few years ago. I love her work and have several of her books and embroidery cards.

That's aweful. I will miss her fabrics; its hard to believe that we won't be seeing anything new from her anymore.

I treaure all of my fabrics, earrings, socks and quilts made from Laurel's lovely designs and colors. She inspired so many of us to be creative original and to use her things to create things that make us smile.
