Just in…literally!

Coral. Earth. Leaf. Fire. Water.  These are the colorways of the debut farbic line, "Cake Rock Beach"  by Joelle Hoverson. 

Joelle received her fabric samples in the mail the day I posted about her new book.  She quickly photographed them for us and has written a bit about her new line of fabric, called “Cake Rock Beach”, which she designed for Moda Fabrics. 

Her line will be one of the featured lines at Quilt Market in Houston in just a few weeks.  And like everyone else, Joelle and her crew at “purl” is frantically making samples, drafting patterns and getting ready for the unveiling of her line.  Look for the line to hit stores at the first of the year.

Here is a sneak peek for you!

The collection is called, "Cake Rock Beach", which is what the big rock forms on the beaches in Washington State are called (where I spent some time camping and exploring in my younger years). 

The collection has 34 prints altogether, made of up one large repeat panel and 6 other prints. 

There are also some iridescent woven solids that go with the line, called net of jewels, 12 colors in all. They are called iridescent because the warp and weft are different colors, which create a color with a lot of depth. 

In these photos I've put all of the prints and solids together.
