Happy Constitution Day!
If you don't know about Constitution Day, don't worry it is a pretty new celebration. And I decided to help celebrate by sharing some patriotic quilts and a FREE pattern of two--in honor of FREE Country.
Here is more info about Constitution Day:
Today, marks the 220th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. It was created by Congress in 2004. It was the brainchild of Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., who carries a copy of the Constitution in his pocket. The law requires any school and college receiving federal money to teach about the
Constitution on or about Sept. 17.
So, see if your kids come home from school today telling you all about Constitution Day. Happy Quilting to the Red, White and Blue.

Hooray for patriotism. I love to see the quilted patriotic themes down through the years. It would be great to have a large display of patriotic quilts. It would be a great history lesson for all of us.

One of my favorite free pattern websites, www.quilterscache.com, has a great selection of free block patterns, to include several patriotic patterns.
