QuiltersBuzz Gets Buzzier

There is always so much to buzz about in the quilting industry. And what hive would be alive with just one bee? Let me please introduce to you, another voice to add to the busy buzz of QuiltersBuzz. Please welcome Tracey Lamphere.

I will let Tracey tell you her own story. Afterall, as you will read, she is quite a talented writer.

“Hi, my name is Tracey Lamphere and this is my sister Stacey Crawford. Tracey & Stacey Lamphere quiltersWe are two, thirty-something, fabric fanatic Texans who want to help you create something fabulous. Let me just say, thank you QuiltersBuzz and Gina Halladay for giving us a chance. This site rocks!

Now a little bit about us. Aside from sharing our looks and birthday (that comes from being two-thirds of identical triplets), we share a love of fabric. I’ll be writing about the interesting people and places involving fabric and occasionally will wrangle Sis into shooting a photo or two. We come from a journalism background that began way back in high school. Since then I pursued reporting and now work in Austin writing for a state agency. Stacey went from newspapers to become a medical photographer for a large hospital.

Inspired by QB, we originally wanted to create an online magazine, but life took a different turn. This year we reshaped the dream and opened an online fabric shop, FabFanatic, which, specializes in novelty fabrics and kits. We believe everyone who wants to make something with fabric should be able to. No time and nofabric fanatics money you say. Trust me, we’re the captains of that boat. We work full time and have three children between us ranging in age from 1 month to 3 years old. Whew.....

Let’s just say my Calgon moments are wrapped in cotton.

So enough about us, we want toTracey Lamphere Quilter hear from you. How do you make your escape from the mundane, hectic, ‘fill in the blank here' life? What fabric designs bring a smile to your face?”

I wish Tracey and Stacey all the best in their business and look forward to the insight and creativity of Tracey’s contribution’s to QuiltersBuzz and more great photos from Stacey.
