Tula Pink is one of those rare birds of contrasting interests and talents.Trained as a graphic designer at Otis College of Art and Design, Ms. Pink set out for the fast paced world of the music industry. Designing for the MTV generation had it’s perks but in the back of her mind were always swirling visions of paislies, polka dots and most of all pink! Hard rock princess by day and mad crafter by night Ms. Pink decided to flip the ratio and dedicate her life to what she loved most, fabric. With a car packed full of fat quarters Ms. Pink set out for North Carolina, the skyline of Los Angeles fading in her rear view mirror.
Tula Pink draws her influences from everything she sees, constantly taking in and mentally cataloging her environment. From nature to fashion, nothing is safe from her searching gaze. From receiving her first sewing machine at twelve years old to now she has always valued something hand made over something that can be purchased. Known by friends and family to spend days on end locked in her room making everything from journals to dresses. Ms. Pink is always on the prowl for a new project, jumping up and down with excitement to share her discoveries with anyone who stands still long enough to listen.

Boy, lots of these designers are starting to look the same. Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, Tula Pink...I like them a lot, but they are variations of the same hip theme.

Tula Pink's so hot! The hidden animals in all of her prints make her a standout in an over stressed market. We fabric lovers are constantly looking for something new, fresh and alive! LOVE IT LOVE IT! Keep them coming Tula.

I agree with Cheryl about them all being the same but at least Tula Pink has more then just a bunch of pretty flowers. I think it's awesome that there is someone out there making fabric with some actual content. The hidden animals in her fabrics are pure genius and if you have ever been to her blog you will see that she draws all of this stuff from scratch.
