Wee Wonderful's Hillary Lang Guest Writes and Offers Up A Limited Edition "Quilting Bee" Stitchette...Comment And Be Entered To Win A Wee Wonderfuls Original Pattern

Lucky you, lucky me.  We get to have a Wonderful Wee!

Hillary Lang of Wee Wonderfuls guest writes today and is doing a give away!weewonderfulslogo.jpg

Hillary is a toy-maker and designer and runs a crafty blog about kids, crafts and finding inspiration.

Here is Hillary to tell us more:

”I got sucked into the world of craft blogs almost 4 years ago and started wee wonderfuls as a way to stay motivated and connect with the amazing online crafting community. I've been sewing on and off since I was a kid and now that I'm a stay at home mom I've had a chance to sew more regularly than ever before.quilting%20bee.jpg

I use my kids, 4 year old Oscar and baby Phoebe, as an excuse to dive into all sorts of projects and have had such fun designing toys, learning how to quilt, creating little characters to embroider, and following every crafty whim I have.

After blogging for a few years I started selling handmade toys and original patterns in my online shop and at fabric and quilt shops. I've had the opportunity to contribute patterns to craft books and magazines which has been so much fun and has me itching to do a book of my own some day.

Right now I'm very excited about these three gals; Kit, Chloe and Louise, who've been kicking around in my head for a while. They're the sidekicks I wish I'd had as a girl and I can't wait to dream up all sorts of wonderful crafty adventures for them.”

A PRIZE OFFERING!

Would you like this "Quilting Bee" pattern FREE from Wee Wonderfuls?  Hillary is offering up this limited editon stichette to us quilt lovers.

Make a comment on this post before Feb. 10 at midnight Pacific time.  Hillary will randomly pick 10 winners.  Patterns will also be available for sale around Valentine’s Day at Wee Wonderfuls.

 What stitching fun!

Hi, I'm a fan of your blog. I just love the quilting bee. How do you find the time to do everything that you do???? I've got one 3 and 1/2 year old and sadly see my free time dwindling away....

Anita

How cute to have a modern day quilting bee in the form of stitchettes. Wouldn't they be cute as the center of a quilted tote to carry your quilting stuff to workshops? Very adorable. :-)

I so enjoy your blog. I really love the quilting bee stitchette. Very cute!
Nice to know the names of the 'girls' too.

well who wouldn't love a wee wonderful one? I certainly would! :)

I love Quilter's Buzz and Wee Wonderfuls! Embroidery and quilting - my two favorites! I don't know how you do all your beautiful projects! My kids are 14, 17, and 19 and I can't keep up.

How cute are Kit, Chloe and Louise! I love to embroider! Hugs to your little Oscar and Baby Phoebe.

Hillary,
Your blog is one of the first I found and I just love these new girls. I like a million others made Christmas stockings this year with your little pixies, so sweet. Everyone loved them! You certainly inspire me.

I love this pattern! It reminds me of myself, my mom and sister who are all quilters. I would customize it by using our own hair colors.

This is my first time to this blog, and it's goin in my favorites!

OH! Those quilty girls are sweet. I often find your work inspiring. Thanks for sharing, Hillary.

Very, very, cute embroidery designs. Back in 1976 (soooo many years ago), I was given some hand embroidered white dish towels as a bridal shower gift. My best friends, Mom, made them for me. I enjoyed them then as I embroidered and knew how much time and love went into them. I LOVE them now. I often tell my girlfriends Mom that I still have and love them.

Gina, I read your blogs all the time. I'm not sure if you know this but sometimes the words get squished into pictures. I don't want to miss anything on your blog. Is it my computer? Thanks for sharing with us all the time ... covergirl!!

I, too, am a fan of BOTH blogs, Quilter's Buzz and Wee Wonderfuls. I am trying to start incorporating some embroidery into my quilts, so winning this pattern would be too much fun! I know that you have already named the girls, but I cannot help but look at them and think "Betsy, Tacy, and Tib" in my mind...:)

That little stitching pattern is so cute! I can't resist the chance to win one!

I love both blogs and have always loved doing embroidery (my 1st needlework @ 7 or 8 yrs old). This would be a great pattern to have (and stitch).

I love the girls and would love to win your giveaway. I hope you get to do a book and I'll be visiting your blog to see more.

This pattern is too adorable. I'd cherish it.

OOOH! I looove Hillary's work. She's really a modern crafter.

I love Hillary's patterns. These girls are fab and would love to add to my collection.
Keep up the great work!

I'm a fan of Hillary's work, and would LOVE to see a book of her work made! I would definitely buy it! Love the pattern and that this blog is so cool to do such neat giveaways.

As a fan of both blogs, it's great to see you featured over here Hillary! Congrats and the new stitchette is completely adorable! It makes me think of me and one of my best friends - we both quilt!

I love embroidery. I was in the 7th grade the first time I tried it and I hated it. My mom was great at it. After I helped my 83 year old mom clean out a dresser we discovered some old kitchen towels and pillow cases that she did in the 1950's I tried it again and now use it in some of my quilts and other small projects. This pattern would look great on a pillow.

I would love this stitchette. I saw it on Hillary's blog the other day and thought that I must get it!

Such a cute idea to combine embroidery and quilting! The wee girls are darling.

i love this design so so much! I'm just learning to embroider beyond cross-stich, and would love to give this a shot...

That is a very cute design. Growing up I wish I'd had sidekicks like that. I learned to embroider when I was five. When my mom was pregnant with my sister she would embroider a tablecloth with what I considered to be the most beautiful pansies. I begged her to teach me and she did. But there were no girls in my neighborhood. So I played sports with my brothers and learned crafts from my mom. We cope.

This reminds me of when my mother in law taught me to stitch in the ditch last year. Little did I know, I was working on my own wedding quilt. It was such a wonderful time with the 'old church broads'.

I have lots of Wee Wonderful patterns! They are great!

love your work Hillary - I have been reading your blog for about 3 years. Keep up the wonderful work ladies.

I love these little cuties! It's so nice to sit and stitch in the evenings.

I love the stitchery. The cute little girls remind me of my daughters - sadly they do not do any "handwork". I have one grandson that I am sure will not do any sewing, unless I sneak past his mom and dad!!

Jeanne in GA

Ooooh, such cute stitchery! :)

I just love Hillary's designs -- I'm looking forward to this one being released!!!!

I visit your blog all the time & it's in my favorites. I'm always finding great ideas & I love your work/photos.

I have a love/hate relationship with you! *grin* I LOVE the ideas you come up with but Hate that you came up with it before *I* did! LOL Keep up the wonderful blog! Love Love Love Love Love it!!

Love your blog and love the Quilting Bee pattern!

Wee Wonderfuls is one of my favorite blogs and I adore Hilary's sense of design. So home-y, whimsical, and charming!

I love all things connected with needle and thread...sewing, quilting, and stitching. And when I can't be stitching, it's so fun to read great blogs about stitching. Keep up the great work. I have found so many treasures.

What a delightful blog you have. Please enter me in the drawing.

I would love to win this darling pattern! It reminds me of my two quilt "Sista's!"

Lisa

Love all the Hillary stitchettes and got all of them. These 3 wonderful quilters (is it the correct word?)mean to me the friendship. I don't know why but it's what I feel looking at them.
Un cordial saludo from Spain.

I absolutely LOVE this pattern. So adorable, just like all of Hillary's patterns!

I just started quilting and this would be a delightful project to win. I too am motivated by all the wonderful quilters and crafters on the web.

I have a Chloe (she looks like your dark-haired one - she even does her hair like that!) and another daughter who looks just like the red-head! I haven't tried embroidery yet (got linen and thread though!) I would love to win this pattern to put up on my craft room wall (my two girls and me!)

Ohmygoodness! I've been waiting for these! They are so cute!

As a reader and admirer of both blogs I'd love to have anything "bee" related to make and put on our hive. Great work

Hillary,
Your work is inspiring, and your blog a joy to read! I feel a crafting sisterly bond whenever I see 'wonderful' artist such as yourself. I have been quilting for several years and now my 2 daughters - ages 12 and 13 have started a junior quilter's guild. We host a total of 6 young ladies every Monday night to work on quilting, beading, yapping, and eating ( a pretty typical quilting group wouldn't you say?) and anything else we can come up with. How rewarding to see the creativity and inspiration in their young faces. Thank you so much for your artistic contributions Hillary!

I think Hillary´s work is just gorgeous, she has the cutest patterns. And I also love reading her blog.

Wee!! What a find. This is my first exposure to your work. I love these little girls. As my three girls are grown and gone, I would love to have your wee quilters move in.

i love your creations and am often inspired by your blog! i'd love to see you put out your own book someday.

I love this quilting bee pattern! I could make it for nearly every female in my family. We all love to quilt!

This looks just like my Friday night stitching girlfriends, the only difference is the girls in the stitchery are not chatting and we chat endlessly while we stitch. Keep up the cute designs.

xoxo Karen C

I would love to win one. It is darling.

How absolutely wonderful! This is very dear, and I would love to make it for my friend, Leesha.

I love these patterns - I feel lucky so count me in. Anne

Hi Very cute design. The only thing missing is a cat to keep the girls company.

The quilting ladies pattern is so charming. If I'm not lucky enough to win it, I would love to purchase it. I'm a quilter, but embroidery has become such a
lovely embellishment to quilts.

Hi,

I'm a big fan of your blog. I log in every day hoping for a new post and so enjoy reading everything that is written. I love the embrodery with the little girls stitching. Would just love to sit down next to them and take up a needle and start sewing!! LOL !

Laura,
Dublin, Ireland.

Love your blog and that quilting bee!!!!

I just found your blog. How exciting!!
Would love to have a pattern of the quilting bee. So charming!!

You are a very busy bee. How do you do it??

Love this pattern....I could see it on all kinds of stuff. Keep up the good work.

Oh, so cute this pattern.... hugs from Brazil.

Can I be friends with those girlies too? Thanks!

How do you make those quilts that have the texture to them where it looks like the fabric went through the sewing machine in either a grid or a random pattern?

Wow-Wee Wonderfuls are so cute! I could definitely find some where to use them.

well, yes I could have fun with that pattern! Hope one will be mine. PS...I read your blog daily and really look forward to what's new.

A Wee Wonderfuls prize, woohoo, I'd love it! Thanks for the giveaway.

WOW! As a mom of 18 month old twin girls I don't know how you do it. Your designs are incredible and reflect all the love that comes from being a mom... the greatest job of all. I own a quilt shoppe and would love to have your patterns, maybe even the toys in the baby section. Keep up the fantastic work!

Hillary I love your work and style! Wee Wonderfuls is amazing!! I'll send you a picture of a little tote I've made to my niece with one of your stitchettes.

Oh how cute please put me in the drawing. thanks!

Would love to use this stitchette for a quilt label or possibly a center panel for a huge crafting tote...hmm...so many possibilities! Wonderful design.

I am a very new quilter but a long-time crafter/knitter, so seeing your design of Wee Quilters really spoke to me! How adorable! My launch into quilting actually springs from reading a knit blog, then joining a BOM at my lqs-- what nice people there, willing to hold your hand every step of the way. Looking for more help, I found Wee Wonderfuls and this blog. Hope I win your square-- it'd be icing on the quilt-cake! :o)

I saw these on your blog and absolutely loved them. Please keep on with the oh so cute stitchettes, I am collecting them all to make a quilt for my daughter. x

I just discovered your wonderful blog and just in time for a drawing. Wee Wonderfuls is fabulous!!
