It is not everyday you get to hang out in your kitchen with a talented designer gal!  But, here is Heather Bailey in my kitchen (yes, it was a mess!) showing me a few pages of her design and sketch book. –A big “sneak peek”-- QuiltersBuzz style….

Of course, I have been sworn to secrecy…but I was truly amazed to see some of her works and projects in process.  We all have something to look forward to with her upcoming lines!  I also talked her into an official sneak peek when she is ready to reveal.

 A couple of weeks ago, I hung out with Heather a bit at Quilt Market in Portland where Heather, launched two new fabric lines with FreeSpirit Fabrics.  (More about that later!)

 Lucky for me, she and her photographer hubby, Isaac needed to come to the LA area for a bit of business and a photo shoot.

 One night we met the Bailey family (kids in tow) at Disneyland and later they  stopped by my  shop (Cranberry Quiltworks) and studio (Threaded Pear Studio) and Heather even got her hands on a Gammill and played a bit!

 Heather bought in a quilt she had made from her new lines. My friend and long arm quilter, Vivian Love, was at my shop teaching a class.  Heather and Vivian hooked up and now Vivian will be quilting Heather’s quilt. You will be able to watch Vivian quilting process on her blog “Quilts With Love”.  I can’t wait to see it finished.

 I enjoyed the couple of days I spent with the Bailey bunch…we ate, and our kids played and we talked.  We ended up spending a few hours in my kitchen. We are friends. And that's cool.
