One of the questions I ask attendees at Quilt Market was "What wow-ed you?"![]()
And there was one fabric line that most were talking about and it was Sandi Henderson's "Farmer's Market" line for Michael Miller. And I will agree it is fantastic!
Sandi, of Portabellopixie, is a regular blogger and designer of children's clothing and boutique patterns--she lauched 6 new patterns on her site today!
Her rookie line of fabric Ginger Blossom debuted at Fall Market and is in shops now, and it is pretty awesome as well.![]()
But, it was her second line "Farmer's Market" is even more stunning. Her booth and presentation won her a 2nd place win at the show. See booth photo at bottom on post.
(Anna Maria and her chairs took first place!--Please note: Sandi and Anna Maria's husband's were the very involved in the creating and building of the both of their booths--it is obvious talent runs on both sides of the bed in their households!)
Sandi's "Farmer's Market" was offered in lots of color ways and I think shoppers were inspired to create when they saw the line. Sandi also introduced her patterns at the show and they are available now. I bought the entire line of "Farmer's Market" in every colorway--I had visions for many projects the second I saw it.
Sandi has been a guest writer on Quilter's Buzz and we featured a sneak peak of her new line and few weeks ago...Check out her blog (She has great music playing on her blog everytime I log in too!) and the Michael Miller site for more looks.![]()
I got confirmation that the line will be shipping in June. So look for it at your local shops.
Or come to Quilt Festival in Long Beach in July...I am going to be making kits of my patterns in her fabrics! I can't wait for the UPS man to arrive.
Congrats Sandi. Great Job
(Photos thanks to Sandi.)

Just found your page and I'll definitely be back. I ADORE those fabrics, the past few days I've been consumed with Michael Miller, Amy Butler and Heather Bailey and I'm trying to think of things I can do with them... lol
