Eight months into 2008….A Quilters New Year’s Resolution is still going strong….![]()
I found “Shnoodle” when Lindsay Jean made a comment on this post…I am going to send her some fabric just because I think what she is doing is cool.
Her blog header says “Make a Block A Day in 2008…One Woman’s Journey Into Madness”!
Check it out her first post and block on
Happy New Year!
In an effort that I hope will not be entirely doomed, I am attempting to sew, photograph, and post a block for each day of my Quilt Block-A-Day calendar for 2008. January 1st's block is called Happy New Year! I think this will aid my stash-busting efforts immensely. Wish me luck...

Sunflower & Shopping
Here is today's block, Sunflower. I departed from my everyday raw-edge applique with this block, and made proper freezer paper templates and folded over the seam allowances. The bias stem I already had - I save the leftover pieces of bias stems in a box - they're perfect for these tiny blocks.

Wow! I don't think I could make that resolution stick much past February! Good job.
