Holly does it again.  She is hosting another (her third) BIG BLOG Event…So join it the fun of meeting 13 different designers, creating their own appliqué block and sharing their secrets of tips for you to create your own.

 

Holly has a new line of fabric debuting in a few weeks at Quilt Market and these designers have “played” with Holly’s “Doll Dress Fabrics” for this blog event…So this event will also give you a sneak peek of Holly’s new line.  Check out “Hollyblog” everyday of this 14 day event to see each project. 

 

It starts on Sunday.  Get ready for some fun!

“A Dozen Designer Dolly Dresses” is the third online Blog-A-Thon that we have sponsored since starting HOLLYBLOG

 

 This online event will start on Sunday September 28th and run for 14 consecutive days.  Using our new LakeHouse Doll Dress Collection of fabrics, 13 fabulously fun & talented designers will each make their own signature version of a doll dress appliqué block. 

 

Twelve of the blocks will be made into a group quilt which will be shown in Checker Distributor’s Booth at the upcoming Houston Quilt Market on October 25-27 2008, and will later be donated to charity.

 

The 13th block will be used on a surprise project.  The basic block and quilt layout was designed by Rene’e Plains of Liberty Star Quilts, and it will be available for purchase through your local independent quilt shop.  Come visit us each day, as a new block is presented and your favorite designers tell about what inspired their design & tips for executing your own version of the doll dress block.

I have been collecting vintage doll dresses for a long time, so I can’t wait to tell you all about the genesis of my latest collection.
 
The first delivery of Doll Dress fabrics to your favorite shop will be in mid to late October 2008.
