How Sweet It Is! Moda Serves Up More Pre-Cut Fabric Goodies, Introducing "Honey Buns" and "Turnovers"...Plus, Make A Comment For Your Chance To Win!

How Sweet It Is!

Well, Moda continues to “serve” us up some more pre-cut fabric goodies.  Joining the platter of jelly rolls, layer cakes (now even bigger!), charm squares and fat quarters are two new fresh selections.

How about “Sweet rolls "Honey Buns" (Oops. Moda changed the name!) and “Turnovers”!Sweet%20Roll.jpg

Moda Marketing Guru, Lissa Alexander, tells all

Hi all,

I wanted to let you know of a few new things happening at Moda. We have made a change to all of the future Layer Cakes
. Each pack is now going to have 42 squares for the price of 40. There will be 2 bonus squares in each pack. This will make it easy to make a 6 x 7 project --add some borders and be done!

The 2 extra squares will be a variety from the collection

SWEET ROLLS Honey RollsTM

And we have just introduced Sweet Rolls Honey Rolls. TM

Looks like a jellyroll,
smells like a jellyroll
works like a jelly roll
Except is an inch thinner
and a whole lotta' fun!
I like to say low cal. Who doesn't love that?

TURNOVERSTMturnovers.jpg

And, if that is not enough for your sewing pleasure, we have TurnoversTM. Turnovers are 6"squares cut in half diagonally to yield half square triangles.
Imagine all the possibilities combining the different precuts.

(Thanks to the creative minds that came up with this during the Moda U retreat- you know who you are!)

Turnovers are 6" squares cut into half square triangles and you can you use them with charm packs. We really wanted to be able to sew 2 triangles together so they would finish the same size as a charm square, however, we made them a big bigger, so they can be can be squared up to pair up with charm squares—for a perfect fit.

Turnovers and Sweet rolls will be available in selected collections.  They will be debuting at Houston Quilt Market and arriving in stores beginning Jan. 2009

Lissa, you're brilliant. As we all know, women of a certain age don't need calories. This way we can have our cake and eat it too! Treats with no calories. What a concept!

Oh I particularly like the triangles! I don't like cutting, so this is perfect for me! Really great idea...

The triangles are such an awesome idea!

Both of these are great ideas, and I especially like the triangles because I have a hard time cutting them accurately. With these, I'd only have to concentrate on sewing them together accurately!

I love the pre-cut triangles!!! What a great idea...

Oh my goodness - those turnovers (what a cute name!) are soo great! What a fun giveaway!

Great idea!
making it so easy to just whip up a quilt instead of taking the time to have to cut before sewing!
Congrats to whoever came up with the idea of turnovers! very clever! I have already thought of 3 different ideas using turnovers.
Oh Sweet rolls great idea too, as I love to make little quilts and these size strips are perfect for those.
thanks! For me this size is perfect.
Kathie

Wow! These are great ideas! I especially love the Turnover idea! I have nerve damage in my arms so rotary cutting can be painful for me. Pre-cut fabric would be wonderful! I cannot wait for my quilt store to have these in stock!

Oh, these look so wonderful! Fat free "sweet rolls" and "turnovers" - yummy!

totally love the Sweet Rolls and Turnovers in particular! Love this way of selling collections and have been a charm square and jelly roll fan for ages! Go Moda!

Great new products! The more you can sell precut, the better.

Oh, those turnovers are inspired!!!

What great ideas! Can't wait to see them in my favorite fabric lines.

I especially like the triangles. It will give us a lot more options for using charms!

I am getting hungry already!!
I would love any of these yummies!!
I am inspired to do my FIRST real quilt and cutting is my fear so this would help!

Wow, what will Moda think of next? I would have loved those turnovers for the pinwheel quilt I just made. And it is so nice that they are now selling 42 squares in the layer cakes. These are a great way to make up a quick gift quilt!

Ohhh, I am obsessed with the charm packs and now I can hardly wait to add these to my list!! Thanks for sharing this exciting news!!

My triangle cutting would definitely NOT make anyone envious, so those turnovers are perfect!

less cutting, more sewing - that's my kind of fabric pack!

What brilliant ideas. I can't wait to get some sent here to Aus. I'm already thinking of all the great ways to use the turnovers and sweet rolls together!!Looks like the plastic card is going to be doing a bit of work with on-line ordering very soon. Love it!

I love triangles, but hate cutting them! Bring on the turnovers!

I love them all; and the bonus? NO CALORIES!!!

I can't wait to see what creative things all of the designers come up with for these new shapes. They're sure to open up a whole new world of possibilities ...

I love these new packs. I love the time savings of a pre-cut kit combined with the flexibility of choosing your own fabric.

Love the Sweet Rolls; can't wait to see them!

Love those triangles. They'll be really handy for moving projects along. Sweet :)

I think your sweet shop it wonderful. I have grandkids and love to make things for them. Someday I will be making doll quilts for my granddaughter and the sweet rolls will be perfect.

Luscious! Looks good enough to gobble them up! *slurp* What a precious idea to have turnovers...see....I have a love-hate relationship with people that come up with these ideas....I love that they came up with it....but hate it that I didn't think of it first!

What a great idea!! I can see Moda marketing sweet rolls and turnovers in packages by themes: colors, holidays, bugs, fruits, flowers, sports and endless more. I think they would be especially good marketed to beginner quilters like teens who are just learning to use rotary cutters and may not be very accurate yet. Experienced quilters would save time choosing fabrics and cutting also! Fun for everyone!

I CAN'T wait for the sweet rolls!!!!! I have all sorts of patterns that will work for them, and how fun to be able to get a small simple project out of a whole collection.

Wow, what great ideas for more precut fabrics. I just love the charm squares and jelly rolls. I haven't been brave enough to purchase a layer cake yet but oh the temptation is growing. All of these precut bundles are so great for people like me that want a bit of an entire line of fabric.

These sweet rolls and turnovers are so clever! I already love the jelly rolls, so what a creative concept to keep going with the theme. I wish more stores in my area carried a better variety of all these.

They look great; I especially think the "turnovers" will be yummy!

Oooh too cute! I only just became acquainted with Jelly Rolls am quite excited to be using them for my next quilt! The Sweet Rolls would be perfect for matching pillows!! And precision triangles? I'm there!

I love the charm packs and am hoping to find some layer cakes at our Creativ Festival next month. These ideas look fantastic -- turnovers and sweet rolls! Can you imagine a non-quilter listening to someone discussing jelly rolls, sweet rolls, turnovers and layer cakes? They'd probably think the quilters had serious serious sweet tooth problems! LOL

I LOVE the idea of the turnovers and will definitely buy them to go with charm packs. I probably would not buy the sweet rolls because I like working with the bigger strips, but I love that Moda is always coming up with something new for us!

O.K. I'm totally hungry now! mmmm. A Mary Engelbreit Cherry Turnover with Ice cream! LOL. What a great idea. Wish, Wish, Wish I was going to Fall Market. ooxx`jodi

The new turnovers intrigue me -- I'm a fly-by-seat-of-pants quilter but I'm intrigued by triangles and can imagine the perfect baby quilt made with my first pack of Moda pre-cuts (as distinguished from the many fat quarter sets I have already).

Love the turnover idea. It'll be fun combining a pack of those with a layer cake pack and playing with them on my design wall. Very clever, Moda!

Lite?! They are sweet treats with no calories at all. What could be better?

WOW! These are great! I love how innovative Moda is :)

Turnovers & sweet rolls! Yummy!

What great ideas! I love the 42 squares idea...makes perfect sense...and the triangles sized just so they'll match with the charm pack squares...awesome. I love Moda!!!

Wow. These are great! Think of the possiblities now. I would love to win one of these. Thank you for offering them. Take care and God bless, Cory

What SWEET TREATS!! Moda has done it again!!! I think my pocket book will be lean soon!! The turnovers are a great idea... and to make them so they will be perfect with charm squares... brilliant!!!
The sweet rolls are neat; I can't wait to work with one!

Turnovers? What a great concept! How come I never think of these things? ;)

I really like the idea of the turnovers, and the new sweet rolls. Perfect for so many things.
Moda is so clever, and such a leader in innovation for us quilters.

I love the idea of turnovers and that they will work charm packs. Great idea!

I love the idea of the turnovers!!

Wow - I'm a new quilter and was inspired by these 'colorful houses' at http://blockaday.com/colourful-houses/ - I've started a small quilt with my sister's guidance using up some of her stash and the rotary cutter - BUT wow - I'd love to make a full-size quilt and in particular the turnovers would make it a breeze - can't wait - maybe they'll be my first personal stash purchase!!

I love the turnovers! There is so much you can do with those triangles. Thanks for sharing!

Great ideas! Now we need some pies and cupcakes (circles precut)!

I love the Sweet Rolls and can't wait for quilt market to score myself a couple. Plus good gravy, those triangles are genius.

Who doesn't love Moda????

I love the triangle ones. I'd love to use them!

Oh my goodness! What will they think of next to make our quilting life easier? I love the triangles. They are all awesome! And Moda, the best!

Ok, I know that I don't NEED Turnovers and Sweet Rolls, but these things just make quilting so fun! Thanks, Moda!

I love the jelly rolls, sweet rolls, turnovers, layer cakes ...all these sweets and it won't go to my hips! Thanks Moda!

Hi,
wow, new precuts...I'm addicted to all other precuts Moda presented so far {well, of course this means I'm addicted to the fabric lines themselves!}...first because they're so much fun and second because I have a 'problem' to cut in big pieces of fabric...it just doesn't seem right *lol* - and without cutting there aren't any beautiful quilts...
I love the idea of precut triangles - and it's too clever they'll matching with Charm Squares as HSTs...
I wonder how long it takes before a pattern is published which includes ALL sorts of precut MODA fabrics....;o)

...oh, I forgot: those Sweet Rolls are just PERFECT for adapting JellyRoll patterns to smaller size quilts...ingenious!

Cheers, Julai

I absolutely L-O-V-E the turnovers! Being a beginner I'm a little wary of triangles, I'm always afriad I wont cut them just right! These are perfect for me!

I LOVE THOSE PRE-CUT FABRICS....A BOX OF CUPCAKES, OR JELLY ROLLS FROM THE LOCAL BAKERY WOULD MAKE THEM EVEN BETTER!!!!!

Almost like Leggo's...lots of sizes guanteed to fit together!

Look like a lot of fun, althought it might take me some time to figure out exactly what I would want to use them for.

Oh I love this stuff!

I think that I would buy anything called a sweetroll, or a turnover.

Great ideas! I love having so many options!

Fabulous! I just got back into quilting about 3 months ago and was amazed at the wonderful fabrics that are now available...and, getting them pre-cut is just icing on the cake! Thanks!

I love the idea of triangles - I avoid sewing with them because I'm really bad at cutting them accuratly

These are all delicious! I especially love the Turnovers--let me skip over the tedious cutting and get right to sewing!

Super cute and creative! Love the idea of the turnover and the sweet roll. What will they think of next! So clever!

Oh so sweet my teeth may ache!!!! And the best part....even if I am dieting I can still enjoy. I love that!!!! Good luck to all the sweet gals who are trying to win. I am keeping my fingers crossed and toes too!!! XXX Annie

I love the turnovers as I hate cutting squares in half. I am currently working on my first jelly roll quilt and love that product also!

I am absolutely addicted to jelly rolls!!!! I am working my way through the book "Jelly Roll Quilts"--17 (!) projects and all from new Moda lines. Now I am looking forward to new patterns with Sweet Rolls!! Y'all are just too clever there at Moda and make too many fabrics that I just *have* to have :)

moda and jelly rolls, i just can't get enough! Love those new sweet rolls will be awesome.

Wonderful idea....can't wait to get hold of some of the Turnovers.

I love the idea of the sweet rolls and turnovers. Can't wait until new patterns come out using jelly rolls, sweet rolls, layer cakes and turnovers. Thanks, Moda!

I just love this idea and can't wait to give it a try!

Oh these fat free indulgences are just perfect for heading into the fall and winter months of sewing! I love to piece a quilt but hate to cut out, so you must have made these with me in mind!

Oh Wow. I love this idea. Moda marketing knows what it is doing. Thanks again Gina for my wonderful package. I've already used some and it just arrived! Love it.

Oh. My. Stars. I just finished up my sixth charm pack quilt top, still have to get to my jelly roll, and now this? The Turnovers may get me doing triangles, lol! Love love love the new treats!

WOW, I can continue to whip up some great new quilts without all the prep work. Yeah! Can't wait to see what fabric lines they do first. Love ya MODA.

Awesome, I really like the turnovers, it's something different and great for some quilting projects I have in mind. :)

These are going to be so much fun to play with.

WOW how fabulous are these Turnover's..I love the Idea of not cutting up 1/2 sq triangles & to have these with Charm Packs is Ideal..this blows me away such a Time Saver...very Clever.
maree

These are such a good idea! I can't wait to get my hands on some turnovers. Thanks for all the great precuts!

Love the turnover idea!!! What a fun idea and oh so much easier then cutting them your self.

Love all the gorgeous fabric. I need to sew soon!

Sweet and no cal! Sounds like a couple of winners to me! Yummy designs

What great ideas! I don't have as much time as I would like to sew (who does?!)
This helps me skip right to the good part!

Not only are the fabrics pretty, but these new cuts make me even more hungry for them. *S*

I just finished a JR quilt, and I could have used a couple other sizes. Can't wait to try them.

Oooh! You girls have been busy in the Moda kitchen baking up new goodies for us to crave! I just bought a flannel layer cake of Christmas fabrics and I love them!!! I need those turnovers though and LOTS of them! YUM-O : )

what a cool idea for the turnovers...
I made a bag with charm squares and it was so easy with no cutting except the lining...definately will be on the lookout for the triangles...

WOWEEE!! Love it all, bigger layer cakes, narrower strips in the sweet rolls and precut triangles! I can't wait to see some patterns using these great combinations!!! Exciting stuff :D

I LOVE the turnovers! What a "sweet" way to help us save time when we're dying to see the finished project!

More items to add to my growing Houston Quilt Show list! Do they come with scratch and sniff???? Ahhhh!

I think they are wonderful. The turnovers are such a great idea. Takes the pain outof cutting triangles. The two bonus squares in the layer cakes will make things better too! The sweetrolls are perfect. So many fabric cuts, so many possiblities...

Oh what will they think of next...I think the sweet roll idea is great...endless possibilities to make lovely things...thats for the chance to go into the draw

Love the idea sweetrolls and turnovers, espicially the idea of the turnovers, auhhh no more cutting all those triangles. Oh I just love moda

I love the jelly rolls but havent tried the turnovers yet. It is so easy to whip a quilt up in this rush rush world we live in. I cant wait to try them.
Toni

awesome ideas! Moda is my favorite fabric line & being a new pattern designer (one pattern with a jelly roll & one with charm packs)these new delicious sweets have really got my creative "juices" flowing! I can't wait to get my hands on some to start creating some new things!

I don't know what happened but for some reason my post above this one is listed as anonymous...but that's my post...I'm mizbucky.
I was hoping I could fix it but I guess I can't. I'll try to contact the owner of "the buzz"...
donna

This is awesome! Great for those of us who don't have a lot of free time left after long work days to get a little bit of fun creative time in!

Help!! There is something wrong with the way the posts are showing up! Michelle's comment has shown up with my name!! mizbucky

I can't find a place to contact the owner...so everyone that posts after Michelle might want to sign their comments.

I really really love the turnovers!! and I really appreciate being having them a bit larger so I'm able to square them up later. I think all these new offerings are refreshing ideas to us older, longtime quilters.

I am so excited for the sweet rolls. I love jelly rolls, but often I wish they were thinner.. thanks!!

Sweet treats! i love them all!! what a great time saver!! i look forward to working with them!!

I love all of the sweet treats! They are simply genius! No more wasting time cutting! Plus we get a sample of everything in the line!

I can't wait to get my hands on the sweet rolls and turnovers! HOT! HOT! HOT!

Thanks for giving us such great products!

Oh, turnovers!! Rock on! I am in love with layer cakes and charm packs, I adore being able to have all peices of a collection but not have to spend a fortune to get them all! Turnovers to add to this? Being able to look like a pro but saving so much time?? Too too cool!! Thanks so much, can NOT wait to get my hands on some.

Brilliant! How did you get inside my head to know what I wanted???

Oh my GOSH! The triangles are a GREAT idea! I can't wait to try them!

I just started getting into jelly rolls, so I'm behind the times... guess I'll have to play catch up. These look like great ideas!

Turnovers! Love it!

Love the triangle idea, very clever!

WOW great ideas, sweetrolls are neat, but the Turnovers are especially appealing, love HST quilts, what a convenience these would be. great idea

I'm loving those turnovers. Brilliant!

Wonderful! Anything that saves me cutting time and is precise is great.
It is so nice to have an afforable way to have all the fabrics in a line, that is especially wonderful.

When I was a child, I helped grandma cut fabric into pieces for her quilt-making. Such fun times involving fabric and stories! I would love to show grandma the quilting innovations that are available now - all so sweet: turnovers, jelly rolls, sweet rolls! What wonderful ideas! =)

I just heard about these from our moda rep. What a great idea. I can't wait to see them all at market.

Jelly rolls, layer cakes, sweet rolls, turnovers-whats next pound cake? Love them all!!! The turnover concept is particuarly brilliant. Can't wait to see them.

What a great idea! Thinking about food is always a sure way to peak some interest in quilters. These are simply delicious!

I love jelly rolls, and I'm sure I will LOVE sweet rolls. so fun.

They're so cute............will look forward to seeing them in my lqs after 1st of yr.
Gotta love all the pre cuts that help us time strapped quilters out.
Yeah for Moda !!!!

The Sweet rolls and Turnovers are wonderful additions to the precuts, they will be perfect with the charms that I have been collecting.

Moda, oh Moda. Moda has got it going on! Another great product, and such a smart product. I can't wait for the turnovers, cutting triangles are not a favourite pastime of mine. Keep up the good work.

I love the new Moda products......I use jelly rolls all the time! With the strips already cut you can make a quilt in no time and I've been collecting jelly roll books and patterns so I can make more. Can't wait for the new products to come out so I can make new quilts. Keep up the good work at Moda!

Wow I think the turnover idea is a great one. Can't wait to try them out. It will be fun to see what pattern ideas come from them.

What a marvelous idea....sweet rolls and turnovers to add to the sweet treats of layer cakes....

Love them...

My two grandchildren love the quilts I've made them, and they're starting to learn to make their own small quilts, sewing by hand. They can work pretty independently if the cutting has already been done, so the layer cakes have been great. The turnovers will add some variety to their blocks -- super idea!

I love all of Moda's precut items and have used all of them. Now I'm waiting for Moda to come out with "icing" for these things! Maybe that will be someone to put them together for me! About the comment that these would be good for "new" quilters and teens - forget that! I'm FAR past "new and teen" and I love 'em.

These new products sound absolutely yummy! Thanks!

All the talk of baked goods is making me hungry. What else goes good with sewing but FOOD? LOL Love the new turnovers. Great idea.

I'm a Moda girl, I love all of the Moda fabrics, and they entice me with new great fabrics all the time. When Jelly Rolls came out, it was so exciting, I love them. Finding out about these new sweet rolls and turnovers is just the best news I've heard in a long time. I love them both! I can't wait to get some. What a great idea with those turnovers!

I have been waiting for Moda to bring out some different Yummies and you have not disapointed Lissa. I can't cut straight even with rulers and rotary cutters so appreciate the precut goodies. Can't wait to order the triangles to go with my charm packs.

I do believe I'm hungry! Great stuff!

Totally LOVE 'em! How much fun is that! I've been teaching kids at school how to quilt and we used the charm packs, made it SO easy. Bought my first layer cake the other day and it's scrumptious. Can't wait to play with those triangles. Good thinking, keep 'em coming!

What a wonderful idea! Quilters are so busy these days and are always on the lookout for time saving ideas - like the pre-cut fabrics! I'm looking forward to seeing the new items in my LQS!

Karen

Jelly rolls and turnovers. What a great idea! (and why am I suddenly hungry?) I remember cutting hundreds of triangles to make my daughter's charm stars quilt. It took me years. Honest. Poor kid would have had the quilt so much sooner if turnovers had been invented already!

They look like a lot of fun. Linda gerig

AAAAAAHHH!!! I ADORE Moda!! I'm totally stoked about those Turnovers... oh MAN... the things you can do with those!!!!!! YAY!

Wow! That looks like a lot of bias edges!

First I think it's a great marketing tool because who doesn't like bundles of fabric and the names...layer cake, turnover, jelly roll...delicious. I also think they're terrific because the cutting is already done and there are lots of great patterns called for these pre-cut sizes. AND they give you a chance to own every piece in the line without having to purchase way more than you need. Love them!!!

I love these as it is so much fun to come up with new ways to use them and sometimes you just need to have them and not do anything with them as they look too lovely to disturb. If only the calorie laden stuff could stay untouched.

I'm just beginning to quilt and am overwhelmed with all the delicious patterns out there. It's becoming an addiction! I love the idea of the turnovers...the wheels are turning in the old noodle!!

Turnovers and Jellyrolls! Just in time for breakfast! I love these. Especially because now with two little kids, the cutting takes FOREVER! What a great idea!

What great ideas. I can't wait to see these goodies at my local quilt shop.

Oh dear. More sweet ways to entice me to buy fabric. I love it! How will I decide which format to buy? Seriously, though, the turnovers are a great idea!

The Turnovers are genius! I have a friend who is interested in making a quilt, but wasn't so sure about all the cutting. I told her Layer Cakes are for you!

**Oh, I hope I win!**

I love the turnovers and can see a class developing around layer cakes, turnovers and the like. What's next? Petit Fours? These get the creative juices flowing. But now I'm off in search of chocolate........ colored fabric!

I'm definatly interested! I love that the turnovers can be use easily with the charm squares! And..sweetrolls! That sounds super fun!

So many treats, so little time. My creative juices are flowing. Please don't make me wait until the spring to get my hands on these!!!!

I love charm squares and jelly rolls and think the more precut options the better. I really like the idea of sweet rolls

Moda so get's us women!! These new yummies go straight to my heart and not my thighs!!Turnover's and Sweet rolls, be still my heart!

Lisa

Brilliant! I hated to trim down my pretty charm squares to match pieced triangles--I can hardly wait to whip up some fun projects. Cute names too--they are making me drool. Thanks Moda!

I love what the results are from Moda U Retreat! The turnovers will save us time to keep working on projects!! Keep at it!

I can't wait to use a Turnover!!! I am asking my LQS to get some ASAP!

Thanks forthe great new stuff
Dianah

Love this new stuff! I can always count on Moda for loads of cool stuff I absolutely HAVE to buy! :)

what another perfect fabric cut idea from Moda... so busy these days with work, kids and life in general, this is a perfect shortcut! and the turnovers quick easy quilt!

thanks for sharing.. now, I wonder how long 'til they come to Australia??? we are only JUST seeing layer cakes in some stores..

wow what a fantastic idea
I cant wait to try some sweet rolls and turnovers
I hope it wont take long to get them here is Australia
hugs Beth

Hmm where do I begin? I'm not sure who came up with "turnovers" but it's brilliant. In fact all the pre-cut fabrics are brillant, but you know that LOL. I buy for myself...but more than anything I buy them for my mother in law. She's had problems with her right shoulder and carpel tunnel in both wrists. I used to cut all her projects, now I buy Moda charms, strips etc. They are a godsend for me and HER. Thank you from both of us!

Lol...I can't wait to see people's expressions when I tell them that MY mailman brings me sweet rolls & turnovers ;P

Love those triangles. Great ideas.

How cute!! I'd love to whip up a few sweet treats with those turnovers....
great idea!!!!

I love the new ideas. They will be so fun to work with.

I love, love jelly rolls! I can hardly wait for these new products to come out. They will add to ease of sewing with jelly rolls and charm squares.

I've never made a quilt from the precut packs, though I've thought about it. maybe if the right fabric line came around. a lot of lines seem to have a handful of prints that are higher contrast - like some white background pieces in a line of saturated colors - that I don't know what to do with. so I end up choosing my own fabrics so that I can pick and choose the colors.

the triangle turnovers are interesting. I'm guessing it's cut in the traditionally way, so that the long side of the triangle is the stretchy side? if it wasn't, I would definitely get a pack. I hate dealing with bias when I make my own triangles.

Wow! I can't wait until next January.
I wish they could come to the Pacific International Quilt Festival.

I have just discovered charm packs and jelly rolls and love how they cut the time down in my projects...cutting the cutting time. I have began collecting them and find them useful in deciding which fabrics to use in a project then I can always order the fabric I need online!

Thanks for the great product!

I hope this comment makes the list. I tried yesterday and this morning still no comment. I think the turnovers are to die for and sweet rolls will fit many of the patterns that you have to cut a jelly roll down too. Thanks for your continuing brilliance. Kathie

i'm not good at cutting straight, so these look great!

I am so excited for these, the pre-cut pieces make it more do-able for me to complete a project. I can't wait for them to come out!!
Nadine
the Material Girls Quilts

Jelly rolls, Sweet rolls, and Turnovers are like having that proverbial gift closet. By having these sitting on the shelf waiting for me, I'm ready for any gift giving event. Baby showers, weddings, or someone in need of a quilt hug. Thanks you making my life easier in in sharing my love of quilting in the form of a gift quilt.
Valarie

What great additions. I can't wait to get them.

It's my birthday this week but I believe my gift came a little early! I just adore these lovely (non-fat) "treats."

WOW!!! I am in love with the turnovers!!! I can't wait to get my hands on some of those : )

How did Moda know that I hate to cut strips, squares, let alone triangles? Thank you for making my sewing so much easier. You really are in the forefront of sewing technology!!

I love it all! OOOO I wanna win, my stash needs some serious replenishing. I've been busting it, so time for new. Here's hoping for a win in Idaho! Thank You!

Hi, what a great giveaway, thanks for sharing!

I am very excited about the what Moda is offering in products. I can't wait to play with the new layer cakes, turnovers, and sweet rolls. What a deal!

This looks suspiciously like a new addiction coming on...

What a GREAT idea, and such cute names! I can't wait to try out the turnovers! That retreat must have had some super creative energy flowing!

Elizabeth M in Ma

Oh, Boy! Such delicious delights! Those turnovers are soooo tempting! Please include me in the drawing.

Welcome back, I have missed your blog.
I love jelly rolls, sweet rolls (both fabric and edible), and the turnovers are something new to me. Great idea. They look like they will be useful.

This is such good news! I am hooked on charm packs and this will be such a nice addition to my stash.

Wow am I glad I decided to try quilting now. I have always been a bit scared about geting fabric and cutting and making a mistake. Now it is so easy.
I am off to find easy patterns to use all these sweet fabric cuts on.
ps also have to grab a sweet bite to eat

Wow.....there is always something new to entice us quilters....jelly rolls, layer cakes, sweet rolls, turnovers....you realize when our DH's ask us what we did today and we say "I messed around with some layer cakes"......they are going to ask where is the desert?????

Karen

I LOVE these fabrics! I'm on a fabric buying "diet" - I've pledged not to buy any fabric, books, rulers, etc., for an ENTIRE YEAR! But these fabrics are SOO tempting.

Julia Wood - www.greenquilts.blogspot.com

Yummy! would love to try them!

I love these! Great time-savers for those of us don't have as much time to sew as we'd like (i.e. everybody)! Can't wait to see all the new patterns that come out using combinations of the pre-cuts! Very clever to give all of them "sweet" names, so we can indulge while still watching our calories!

give any fabric a foody name and i'm all over it!

Thank you Moda! You keep coming up with things to inspire quilters and keep us coming back for more. I can just see wonderful fantasy pinwheels being made with the turnovers. Cutting is my least favorite part of quilting, so I love that part being completed for me.

I love all the options to have a taste of the fabric collections. (Isn't taste the perfect word?!)

Thanks!!!

Fabulous! As well as being a great way to get a complete range of fabrics, now there are so many yummy treats to choose from. So what's next? I'm thinking, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, scrolls - talk about making us hungry for more! These make great gifts for quilters as well. Thanks Moda!

I think Moda now offers too many different kinds of pre-cuts. The "speciality" could get lost. For me cutting fabric is a big part of fun when creating a new quilt. Certainly I like MODA - the quality in generell and the precision of pre-cuts.
HAPPY QUILTING to all of you :)

I think the sweet rolls will be fun to play with; sitting on the fence regarding the turnovers...

Hmmm... maybe I COULD go on a diet now if I'm getting my sweet fix from yummy fabric cuts! I'm most excited about the Turnovers! Super great idea Moda! Thanks!!

Sweet Treats, Jelly Rolls & Turnovers! Oh my! These will be great additions to my fabric "diet"! Thanks for giving us quilters new things to play with... with less grunt work.

Absolutely LOVE the Triangles. I'm hoping that Moda will come out with Triangles in all white and some basic colors too, so that we can showcase some of the fabric lines!

How cool! As a brand new quilter this year, I made my first few quilts using Moda precut fabrics - Pumpkins Gone Wild Layer Cake, Red, White, & Bold Charm Packs, and Fresh Squeezed Jelly Roll. I CAN HARDLY WAIT to see the new collections!!!!

These are adorable! I would love to win them.

They just keep coming up with such wonderful ideas....I just wonder what will be next.....

These sweet rolls are just the right size! I wish I would have had them for the quilt I'm currently working on. Then again, there's always the next one:D

Such a great idea and the play on the names is so fun!

I've just used my first jelly roll and I'm hooked. How exciting to have new options in precut fabrics!

I can't wait to get my hands on these new cuts! Pair the Sweet Rolls with Marti Michell's log cabin ruler and you can whip up a log cabin quilt in a jiffy! And the triangles! Can't wait!

Wow! My customers are going to love these new ideas! Sweet rolls and turnovers. I am especially excited about the 6" block cut diagonally to make 2 turnovers! What a clever idea! You are awesome! I can hardly wait to get started on a quilt top! This idea will make it so easy.

Wow, more than 200 comments! :) What we quilters will do for a bit of fabric... :) I really love the new cuts of fabric from Moda. I've only been quilting for a few years and I still have small kids at home, so while I can't always afford to go and buy a yard or more of all the designer fabrics I love, I am still able to get a little taste with these more affordable collections. It's fun to see all the quilts people come up with using them too!

How much easier can sewing get? This is wonderfuljust sit down and sew away!! Especailly great for classroom sewing when space is so limited,no real yardage cutting required, the Turnovers sound especaiolly interesting to me,they can be a challenge to cut accurately.

The new products look great! I can't wait to see the patterns for them.

Ok, am I the only one who finds it almost impossible to use these wonderful sweet treats? I just love displaying and petting them. Love the idea of 42 in the layer cakes - and I think the sweet rolls for table runners are wonderful. Dee

Oh my gosh, can't wait to get my grubby little hands on this new stuff. The projects are already starting to churn in my brain. What a great idea. Thanks Moda.

I love the Moda pre-cuts and all of the fun ways to use them. I can't wait to try some of the new turnovers!!

Lissa:Thank you!! I'm a true Newbee Quilter & have difficulty "sewing a fine seam & cutting a straight line" :) So the wonderful Turnovers and Sweet Rolls (along with the Charms, Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls, etc.) have been a real blessing to me as I learn and practice the magic of quiltmaking! :) Much Joy and Many Blessings~your creativity is much appreciated! Joani B.

Fantastic idea! My friend had a mastectomy recently and has difficulty cutting fabric (and is quite bummed about it). She will be so excited to hear of the additions to your jelly roll cuts (of which she has many). Thank you!

Now to forward the good news to her.

The turnovers look like fun! I love working with triangles and this will make it faster and easier! I work in a quilt shop and joke that it's my job to get everyone who comes in the door hooked on jelly rolls, now I have some new stuff to play with!

I wish I had the triangles now to do my Fig & Plum Moda U kit... I can't help but wonder how much these are going to cost?

Great idea and I know my daughter-in-law will love the 1/2 square triangles also as she is new to quilting!

What a great idea! I can't wait to see how the quilts using these turn out!

I love the jelly rolls and turnovers. What a fabulous idea. I love all of the beautiful colors! This is my first visit to your blog and I have added you to my favorites!

Teresa

I love the triangles! I would totally buy them. I hate cuting because it takes so much time and this would save a lot of time!

All of Moda's Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes are fantastic and so quick to use. And now Sweet Rolls and Turnovers! I'm jumping up and down!. Can't wait to try them. Projects are so quick to start with these. Go Moda!

Moda is the best! I can't wait to get some Turnovers! I just spent lots of time cutting charm squares in half on the diagonal and Turnovers would have been perfect.

All of these pre-cut "sweets" are a great way to put a quilt together quickly.
At our last retreat one of the gals put together a quilt top in a few hours using a jelly roll and a charm pack.
