Hi! I am writing to you from Houston at the International Quilt Market. We set up our Threaded Pear booth, and then I got a chance to wander the floor for a few minutes.

 How fun when I ran into fashion designer, Jay McCarroll! (The winner of the debut season (2005) of the competitive reality show Project Runway.

 Jay has now designed two fabric lines for FreeSpirit Fabrics. His “wonky” lines are a fun departure from the “norm” for quilting fabric…

 Here are a few quick pix of Jay setting up his booth and a sneaky peek “taste” of his lines-"Garden Friends" and "Woodland Wonderland".

Here is a note about Jay from FreeSpirit:
"Jay is mostly known for being a great designer on the show Project Runway, who has recently stepped into the realm of fabric. This would be Jay McCarroll with his upcoming collections Woodland Wonderland and Garden Friends.

These collections are very different in the sense that it has opened the door into a new sector of fabrics. What I mean by this is he finds an interesting and exciting way to incorporate such things as ants, bees all the way to tomatoes in his collections of fabric! Jay McCarroll will also be having a booth at Market that will be exciting to see!"

 I asked Jay to guest write a blurb in the near future. Jay was very nice, friendly and gracious, plus he smelled really good. I know you young at heart crafty ones will understand and buy these lines. Very Refreshing.  Look for them to hit quilt shops early next year.
