Being "Green" Making A Blue Jean Quilt! See This Free Pattern on eQuilters.com

Being Blue Jean “Green”!

Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose And Reduce.

jean%20circle%20quilt.jpgMy sister sent me this link with the instructions for making a jean quilt from your jean scraps.  She promises it is "easy and fast". jean%20circle%20lid.jpg

The pattern is a free pattern called “Doreen’s Circle quilt” and is on the equilters.com site.  Look on the site for the free pattern.

There are several other posting of other who made quilts with this pattern.  And about a thousand other FREE downloadable patterns…

jean%20circle%20construction.jpgI wonder what this circle quilt would look like using an Amy Butler canvas print and jeans…it got me thinking….

Photos thanks to equilters.com.

I love this idea!! I'm can't wait to try it!! Thanks!

I love scrappy quilts and this one is so cool!!

This looks really fun. Oroville has a great outlet for used jeans.

wow, I made this quite a few years back, I have done a few versions of it, the favourite one so far is one I gave to a young couple as a shower gift, three small children latter and they still use it for picnics and outings with the kids! It lasts forever, or close to it!

Thanks for the great idea for those who find it hard to toss out old jeans.

This is a brilliant way to recycle jeans and not just throw them away.

I love jeans quilt. I like to wear them, but find too difficult to make them.

I love this idea. I've been saving denim forever and tried several patterns but didn't quite like them. With this I can combine fun fabric with the denim, plus I already have the templates which I got at the AQS show a couple years back. Thanks for the inspiration.

I am new at quilting, but like this idea. After reading the article, I am unsure, do you applique the little windows of fabric into the windows by machine, or piece them? If piecing, how is it done?

I just did a mini-workshop for my quilt guild on this jeans quilt. I've made several and am working on finishing one to put in a silent auction to raise money for our guild's charity quiltmaking. The best thing about this jeans quilt (besides how cool it looks!) is that you do NOT have to be perfect in your cutting or stitching to make it turn out great. The worst thing? Cutting alllll those circles out of the jeans. But get your kids involved in that part!
